Krikor Maroukian
Treasurer & International RepresentativeKrikor Maroukian BSc, MSc, PhD (Cand.), MBCS, MIEEE is a Principal Consultant leading the Modern Service Management consultancy for Microsoft Greece, Cyprus and Malta. In the past, he has held the Project Management and Information Security Management positions. He specialises in IT Service Management design and adoption facilitation of service management practices and principles in cross-industry fashion (banking, insurance, manufacturing, oil & gas, energy, retail, aviation, lottery) in EMEA region. Krikor’s interests lie predominantly in value-based product development leadership, (agile and lean) service management and project management.
Krikor is author of Axelos ITIL4® Managing Professional High-velocity IT and also holds a UK patent for the design of an “IT outsourcing management framework”. Krikor has authored academic papers on the topics of DevOps leadership, service management, project management and model-driven business engineering. He was awarded the Highly Commended paper in the 2017 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence for the publication titled “Facilitating organisational decision making: a change risk assessment model case study” published in Journal of Modelling in Management.
In addition, he has previously held a columnist position for ‘Netweek’; a Greek biweekly IT executives magazine. Krikor participated in the Quality Assurance team for the translation of ‘ITILv3® 2011 Glossary and Abbreviations’ in its Greek equivalent.
Krikor is the International Representative (former Chair) of itSMF Hellas, member (former Secretary) of British Computer Society (BCS) Hellenic Section committee and member of IEEE.
